Degu-Notiz/Weinbeschrieb

Finesse pur!

93 Punkte Suckling.com, Stuart Pigott:
"Quite funky from wild-yeast ferment on the nose, but there's also a lot of juicy-mirabelle character on the palate, combined with some pretty major tannins that won't be for everybody, but certainly excite us. Long. intense finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold. "

17 Punkte Jancisrobinson.com, Michael Schmidt:
"Riesling subtlety from Hohen-Sülzen! This is not a trocken that is trying to overwhelm with perfume or power, but rather uses gentle notes of meadow hay, dried herbs and chalky nuances to win your appreciation. The finely chiseled contours may still seem a little hazy, but will become more clearly defined in a year or two. (MS)"

Lime, white peach and white currant all combine for a pungently penetrating aromatic display and a palate performance that is invigoratingly zesty, piquant and tart-edged. There is a palpable sense of high extract here, but it is allied to welcome buoyancy. The infectiously juicy, bell-clear finish incorporates a vividly tactile sense of stone and chalk impingement.
