2023 Weingut Immich-Batterieberg Zeppwingert Reserve
From 100+-year-old vines, the 2023 Zeppwingert Reserve is deep, pure and slightly toasty on the nose that is reminiscent of stewed apricots. Crystalline and saline on the palate, this is a rich and powerful yet vivacious Riesling with a promising finish. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in December 2024. 2032-2070.

Immich-Batterieberg Riesling Mosel Zeppwingert Reserve 2023
This is one of those wines where you have to hold on tightly, because you don't know if you're being pulled up into heaven or down into the Mariana Trench. Dark and light are so perfectly integrated. There's a wealth of caramelized pear character and wild herb intensity that leave you totally bamboozled. Then comes the extraordinarily graceful and silky finish that makes it impossible to concentrate on anything else. Fermented and matured in one very well used barrique cask, so very limited production. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

2023er Immich-Batterieberg Enkircher Zeppwingert Riesling Reserve 04 24 95
The 2023 Steffensberg, as it is referred to on the main part of the label, is a legally dry wine made from fruit picked on over 60-year-old vines in the terraced part of the vineyard next to the Ellergrub which has not undergone Flurbereinigung and was fermented and aged in used barrique and small oak cask for 12 months. The wine offers a superbly complex nose of pear, citrusy fruits, a hint of pineapple, fine herbal elements, and spices. It proves gorgeously playful on the palate, where the citrusy elements are joined by a delicately exotic touch of spices and saffron. The finish is hugely long, beautifully intense, and finely chiseled despite the presence. This is a stunning expression of subtly exotic dry wine! 2028-2038

Unsere als Einzellage gefüllte Zeppwingertparzelle liegt direkt unterhalb eines großen Felsens und bildet den rechten Rand des Batterieberges. In einer etwas dunkleren Schieferformation wachsen auf den vermutlich ältesten Reben des Weingutes maskulin-kräftige Rielinge mit viel Ausdruck und einem langen Reifebedürfnis.
