2022 Salwey Spätburgunder Oberrotweil Käsleberg
The 2022 Spätburgunder Oberrotweil Käsleberg is from a vineyard that is still in the classification process for VDP Grosse Lage (GG). The cherry-colored wine opens with a deep, intense and fleshy, natural black cherry and berry aroma intertwined with toasty and saline notes. Full-bodied, dense and generous on the palate, this is a very elegant and smooth, sweet and charming Pinot with a long, aromatic and stimulatingly saline finish and very fine tannins. The finish is mouthwatering and highly digestible. This is a "best buy" from this outstanding Kaiserstuhl producer. 13.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in October 2025. Drink Date: 2025 - 2045.
